My passion for wine began at the age of 4 when my Grandmother gave me a glass of table wine from the dinner table. It was such a taste treat that I never forgot the thrill of a glass of wine. My Grand parents were of German-Austrian descent and always served wine to everyone who ate at the table.

I've always been interested even as far back as the early 70's. I attended the very first wine tasting event at the Brown Derby International Wine Center in Springfield , Missouri . I owe a lot of gratitude to Ron Junge, owner and President of Brown Derby. Ron is one of the most passionate people I've ever known about wine. His enthusiasm and knowledge are infectious. He brought me from white zin to big bordeaux's but yet kept me balanced in the knowledge of great white's as well as big reds are to be tasted and savored in all kinds of situations. Thanks Ron for your mentoring.

My goal with 4 J's wines is to give you great wines with great value. I hope my passion and enthusiasm for these wines will infect you as much as they have given me in making them.
